This week, MediaTile, a leading provider of 3G and 4G cloud-based digital signage solutions, announced that its HumanKiosk Solution is now available on the Verizon 4G LTE network. This point-of-sale display provides the on-site, face-to-face communication customers demand with the exciting and eye-catching system of digital signage. The HumanKiosk allows a customer to have a two-way face-to-face conversation using the kiosk. As the article states, "marketers can humanize their brand interaction, improve the customer experience, and deliver their messages with absolute control and precision…" The interactive display brings knowledgeable sales and support teams members to customers at a much lower cost for businesses. There is no need for on-site network infrastructure to make the HumanKiosk function. Instead, the interactive display runs over the Verizon 4G LTE network. How does it work? Customers are encouraged to interact with the touch screen kiosk, choosing products, features, services and language options. After making a few selections, a remote expert will immediately become available to discuss whatever product or issue the customer has inquired about. This creates a much more personalized interaction. Customers can also feel as if they are speaking to an expert in a particular area or language. Where would these kiosks be of use? By placing the stand within a shopping center or mall, this may ultimately eliminate the need for stores altogether. Customers could place orders through the remote expert and then receive a product through the mail. The kiosks may also be able to work "after hours" providing customers with technical support when ordinary retail locations are closed. The details are limited as what the intentions of the HumanKiosk truly are, but we think this idea is incredibly innovative and unique.
