Ingram Micro will be entering the digital signage space and will debut their entry at EHX on November 4, 2006. Specifically, the company will demonstrate 3M digital signage software running on an aOpen Media Center computer. At their digital signage debut, Ingram Micro also will be featuring training on digital signage at EHX on November 14, 2006 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. "Some of our partners like Aopen are putting together configure-to-order systems for content distribution for digital signage applications," says Irene Chow, senior category manager for converged electronics and digital signage. "Signage may be a commercial, but when we look at convergence in the home and small business, it [the opportunity] is kind of a no brainer."
