Neo Advertising Acquires DAN Media
Neo Advertising Acquires DAN Media
DAN Media, a digital signage company founded in 1999, was acquired by Neo Advertising. On October 29, 2006, the Quebec High Court ratified the deal which is the backbone of Neo Advertising's plans to implement large high definition screens throughout various shopping centers. Neo Advertising's press release stated that the initial plans included over 65 shopping centers in the United States and Canada. The signs will offer animated digital information and entertainment, as well as real-time content to consumers. Neo advertising has been operating internationally since 2003 in the digital signage industry, and has headquarters in Switzerland. Now that Neo Advertising has finalized the acquisition, it plans to retain the DAN Media brand name, and continue to operate it's existing network in Canada. DAN's new interim CEO is Christian Vaglio-Giors, the executive who will be taking control of Canadian operations. He will be responsible for developing DAN Media's operations in Canada, and will announce his new management board in early November. Vaglio-Giors was the co-founder of NEO advertising, along with Alexandre de Senger.
