The digital signage industry is so competitive today that providers are keen to discover the next big niche area of the new digital advertising medium. Enter IntelliMat Digital Floor Signage. IntelliMat is a wireless, Windows-based Personal Computer which is designed to work while placed directly on the floor. The IntelliMat unit is less than one inch thick, and is designed to be walked on and to support shopping cart traffic. The unit features a gently sloping ramp that makes it easy to walk on or push a shopping cart or stroller across. The current version of the IntelliMat is made up of four, 15-inch LCD screens which are powered by a single, small voltage electrical cord that plugs into a standard in-wall electrical outlet. The best part is that there is no special installation or preparation necessary. Each of the four digital display units compose a zero-inch diagonal display which is used to project any type of content that a regular PC can play. This includes multi-media, video, flash, and MPEG files. The IntelliMat also has full audio, which is output to wireless directional speakers. The unit can pull content from a server, PDA, USB drive, or any other attachable device. Since each IntelliMat has its own IP address, the content push can be location-specific. IntelliMats offer LAN, wi-fi and infrared connectivity. Additionally, they are designed with scratch-resistant tempered glass to ensure a long life in heavy-traffic areas. IntelliMat is currently the only network-capable digital signage floor display that has been proven to consistently generate increased sale revenues in specific locations.
