LCD
LCD - digital signage
Standing for liquid crystal display, an LCD is a flat panel display that consumes low amounts of power and is used in many laptop computers, calculators and digital watches. LCD displays are made up of a liquid crystal that is sandwiched between layers of glass or plastic and becomes opaque when electric current passes through it. The contrast between the opaque and transparent areas forms visible characters or images that are viewable on the display.
